Currently working full time as a Remedial Language Specialist, meeting with students one-on-one to address specific and individualized areas of need and remediation including, but not limited to: decoding, spelling, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension and written expression. Students'​ needs and progress are determined by the RLS's administration of diagnostic assessments, formal evaluations, informal observations, consultation with administrators and supervisors, along with student profiles. For dyslexic students, continuous Orton-Gillingham lessons, along with progress monitoring is provided for further remediation. Additionally, the RLS creates daily skills labs that reinforce the skills taught in tutorial, which students complete independently for 30 min. outside of the tutor setting.

I completed my student teaching at Roland Park Elementary which is a public school in Baltimore City. I taught reading, language arts, writing, math, science and social studies and observe special education, art, and music classes.

As part of my fieldwork as a Goucher College education major, I acted as an assistant dance instructor for 1st through 4th grade students at the all girls preparatory school Roland Park Country School. I was chosen for this position due to my strong background in dance.

As part of my special education training and fieldwork at Goucher College, I worked as an assistant art and theater teacher for high school and middle school students. As a theater teacher, I also taught dance to the middle school students.

During my senior year of high school, I completed an independent internship working as an assistant to 6th grade English teacher at Westerly Middle School. I often observed the teaching and worked with students one on one or in small group instruction.
