As OHS Health Advisor, I providing specialist workplace health and safety support and advice to over 2500 staff for the LNG2 Train shutdown operation of the Karratha Plant. This includes running return to work programs, completing chemical assessments and delivering training and support to staff to drive compliance. Working together within a team of 20 professionals, I proactively seek opportunities for continuous improvements in the health and safety model.I also have responsibility for delivering and maintaining all types of training (including fatigue management) and other education programs to educate staff in best practice behaviours and sustain compliance with quality and safety systems. I routinely investigate workplace incidents, devise response plans and put in place risk mitigation strategies to deter recurrence of incidents. A key aspect of success in this area is the promotion of injury prevention behaviors and activities to drive a culture of zero tolerance for workplace health and safety risk.We completed over 600 fatigue assessments.

Covering a vast range of oil and gas organisations, I was accountable for the provision of specialist onshore and offshore medical support and emergency response coordination and retrieval operations. On an operational level, I maintained critical emergency Aeromedical Evacuation Management (AME) responses using different several types of transport. During my time here, I redesigned and upgraded the on-site medical facility to improve conditions for patients and medical staff.My interest in workplace health and safety was enhanced in this role. I supported local health and safety programs and offered my support to the emergency management team. I was responsible for managing the medical facility and delivering primary health care to staff. This included drug and alcohol testing and first aid as well as return to work program and rehabilitation plans. As a result of my technical knowledge I developed and implemented the Emergency Response Plan and drove a business plan to replace the existing ambulance with a site tailored vehicle.

In this role I was responsible for recruiting, equipping and training paramedics in the effective operations of a warm zone CBR event. I was instrumental in the production of national interagency standard operating procedures (SOP) on CBR in medical hot/warm zone operations and developing CBR awareness material training programs.
