A serial entrepreneur since the age of 10, Cari honed her business skills by selling handmade jewelry on the street corners of SoHo. As a born and raised Manhattanite, she was always hustling. By her senior year of high school, she moonlighted as a telemarketer and club promoter with clients including the legendary Roxy, Carbon and Tunnel. These early years led her to work in the music industry where she ran a management/ booking company. Never a dull moment she decided to keep a journal of her escapades which became a published fiction YA novel loosely based on her life as a teenager in the music industry. Rising Star, landed a TV movie development deal with Disney. Fast forward to the massive round of layoffs in the early 2000's, the project sadly was put on the back burner. Years later, Cari continued working her entrepreneurial magic. With dozens of venues, thousands of events and $10+ million dollars in new business later, she helped build FB Hospitality Group's Events and Sales Division.She took a brief hiatus to follow her daydreams with her best friend and started a company that tapped into her one "girly" hobby--manicures. CityMANI was born and created in 2014 and in just one year was acquired by Manicube, a division of Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa. After she had her son in 2011, Cari joined FiDi Families, a resource of local Lower Manhattan families as the Head of Sales and went on to acquire the company in 2022. FiDi Families offers Email Marketing, Social Media, Sponsored Content and On-Site activations to clients. Then it was back to hospitality. A passion that could never simmer. From traditional corporate events to off the wall themed events... a consulting firm was born! Cari began her company to help businesses with their outreach, sales, marketing, and events. Cari has worked with 50+ restaurants in the New York City area and served thousands meals to offices, placed hundreds of organizations, networking groups, non-profits and corporate clients at venues all over the city for their Happy Hours, Client Dinners, Gala's and Holiday Parties. Keeping Cari Gelber Consulting her passion project, Cari recently entered a new field, joining Elevate Teams as the Head of Sales, helping companies staff virtual assistants for all of their administrative and back office needs in the insurance niche. Being able to help clients with their pain points and pair them with the right staff that they need to grow and scale has become Cari's most exciting endeavor yet.
