Ideas Shop is a leading public relations consultancy, providing services to clients throughout New Zealand and internationally. Ideas Shop people provide smart communication solutions that add value.My role at Ideas Shop was to work with clients to help build engagement in their workforce and raise their company's' profile externally. I worked with my clients' senior leadership to really understand their business, and built strategies to engage their staff and their stakeholders. In many cases I created the content directly including strategy documents, leadership forum packs, social media messages, press releases, Minister briefing documents, research reports, survey and report writing and marketing collateral, While I managed direct relationships with clients and project managed their work, I also enjoyed contributing to work that was undertaken for clients across all of Ideas Shop. I worked in Ideas Shop internal communications team and primarily focused on increasing engagement within companies and providing advice and support to major change initiatives.

A two month contract focused on sharpening business processes and co-ordinating a programme of work to change several rules and codes in the railway code.

Maximised the returns to Z through the optimisation of the commercial inland fuels portfolio. Further, through effective relationship management skills and commercial acumen delivered world class customer relationship management and financial performance in accordance with Z’s vision.With a portfolio of customers that collectively purchased 30 million litres of fuel from Z per year, I focused on getting to know my customers and what they expected from their fuel provider. I worked to exceed those expectations providing dedicated customer service and value. Through talking to customers, I realised that Z had a gap in communications to their Commercial customers. I sought to rectify this by enlisting help to launch a monthly e-newsletter. While it was a fledgling publication at first, it quickly gained support from senior leadership and customers a like. By the time I left Z I had increased readership by 500% and moved the publication from a pdf email attachment to a high quality online publication. While I built a team to support this publication, I also provided Communications advice to the Commercial GeneraI Manager including drawing insights out of staff engagement results, best practice messaging to external customers, and ensuring consistent messaging to customers in line with corporate messaging.

Provided administrative assistance and event management for the Retail Leadership team, especially the Retail General Manager. Supported the Training Manager deliver a training programme to over 2,000 site staff.

Delivered service to Shell New Zealand’s commercial and retail customers. Responsible for answering queries on six phone lines; Orders and deliveries, Accounts, Shell Card, Technical queries, Issues and Feedback, and Directory assistance. Received a train the trainer accreditation.
