I am successful in addressing relational issues with couples and families, to shift from conflict to deep emotional connection through introducing effective communication skills that enable them to express their needs to move through the pain and disconnection. I am effective in helping individuals and couples to experience real change by providing a safe, non-judgmental space to share their deepest thoughts and fears. I specialize in helping women that have been victims of betrayal, trauma, and abuse in all forms, verbal, emotional, physical, domestic and sexual abuse regain their dignity and self-worth.

For three years I was able to successfully manage a small home care company as I graduated with honors in a full-time Master's Program. My self-motivation, organizational skills, and passionate desire to help others were the drive behind the success of simultaneous full-time work and school.I interviewed, hired and trained new employees. I set the monthly schedule and made adjustments in coverage as needed. I met with new clients during the application process. I assessed the clients’ quality of life and provided recommendations to staff and families.I provided a positive environment and activities to enhance our clients’ quality of life. In addition to providing the specific desired needs of each client to assist them in keeping up with the daily chores of running a home, I spent a great deal of time talking with clients to help alleviate the fears that captivate them so often as they age. In my work with the aging I sat with several clients and their families as the client was put on hospice. In one case I had to take the initiative to ask the client to receive hospice, as there was no family available for this decision. Working with the aging is an honor.

I am committed to walk with clients in strengthening their relationships, with self and others, through courage, compassion and connection.I found my true passion for humanity working in one of St. Louis’ most undesirable neighborhoods. What started as a job soon became a new way of life as the faces of extreme poverty and re-entry population became friends and family. Through compassion, encouragement and commitment, I found that I was able to gain the trust of an untrusting community and provide hope to the hopeless.Working one on one with individuals and observing the transformation from just surviving life to enjoying life is true joy! God has used this work and my own challenge to help me see that having the courage to be vulnerable is the most freeing feeling and has opened me up to a whole new way of life!It's only been since I found the courage to share my real story, my real trails, that I have gained true deep connection with others. It's that courage that allows them to be real with me. I lived a life of perceived perfection for far too long. I truly found love and passion for my work as a case manager and facilitator in the tough neighborhood of College Hill in St. Louis' North City. I worked with individuals transitioning from prison and/or probation/parole; individuals suffering from severe poverty and lack of personal resources; and single mothers with drug/alcohol dependency escaping unhealthy or violent environments. As case manager, I advocated for my client; connected them with social and community resources; implemented assessments and developed a plan of action; assisted clients in securing resources, vital documents, and financial assistance; and helped secure treatment options.As training coordinator, I facilitated personal and professional development classes. I helped connect individuals to employment opportunities and then coached and mentored them on job retention, growth, and other life skills.I was able to gain the trust of an untrusting community to be able to help them make sustainable changes to improve their quality of life. Some of the things we were able to accomplish together in that neighborhood were: inspire and support clients to live/work at high level, guide the course of real and practical results in client’s lives, problem solved everyday life situations to encourage new outcomes, and witness them encouraging each other to live their best life.The weekly life coaching circle, I co-lead for the community was life changing for many of the people that were able to see a new side of themselves by gaining the perspectives of their group members. I attended community meetings/resource development gatherings representing my organization; and working closely with community, state and federal organizations to enhance my client’s sustainability.

Intertel is an insurance investigations organization. I was responsible for all day-to-day operations, including staff hiring and assure training was complete; all supervision; reports; payroll; office supplies and needs; planning special events; and implementation of all office procedures and processes and maintenance thereof. Secured all accommodations for travel, transportation, marketing displays and promotions for two trade show each year and manned the booth for marketing and PR purposes. Developed and promoted camaraderie and positive, productive work environment for staff from ten to thirty over 7 years. Inspired staff to assure all company goals were met or exceeded monthly. Saved company money and streamlined procedures.
