-Identified and controlled invasive species through herbicide application, both by tractor and hand spray methods. The main target species was Sericea Lespedeza, as well as treating invasive tree species in prairies and plantings.-Assisted with prescribed burning of prairie and forest habitat, both on the refuge and at other locations such as Flint Hills NWR and Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve.-Operated and performed basic maintenance of agricultural tractors and implements.-Accompanied and assisted refuge biologist with moist soil unit monitoring, fresh water mussel and whitetail deer surveys.-Public speaking in the form of career days and with student groups on the refuge.-Played a large role in the preparation for the annual 'Let's Go Outside' public event and provided support during the event. Duties included sharing information about freshwater mussels, answering questions about the refuge, helping with children's craft activities, and directing traffic.-Assisted assistant refuge manager with required reporting and writing of annual narratives.-Participated in refuge long-term planning project meetings, such as habitat management planning and the hydrogeomorphic study of MdCNWR-Performed road/trail maintenance utilizing a variety of tools, as well as assisting with grounds and facility maintenance.-Entered and compiled data in spreadsheet and written form
