I was a Title One Teacher for two years, which required me to provide daily small-group reading intervention to students in kindergarten through fourth grade. After collaborating with grade-level teachers, I planned and taught lessons based on the Science of Reading in phonics, phonemic awareness, and reading comprehension. I regularly progress monitored students and adjusted lessons as needed.I also volunteered on our building's Career Committee, Special Person's Event Committee, and Literacy Night Committee.

For the latter half of my time in this position, I was responsible for checking in and creating records for unbound periodicals. I then separated the unbound periodicals to be routed to different locations around Kent State's campus.
