This role encompasses developing strategic and critical path planning in conjunction with all international venues across Australia via an elite Event Management System; managing national resource planning and allocation and initiating innovative and creative approaches to fan engagement. As Senior Manager I built and led a team of 15 events staff in delivering an operational readiness program to ensure the effective implementation of LOCOG’s Overlay program. Also held the role of Venues and Infrastructure Command Centre Director through fit out, operations and reinstatement phases of the Games.Key Focus Areas:- Responsible for integrating existing venue staff, venue teams, utility providers, contractors, key stakeholders and the Games C3 structure- Led the successful development and implementation of the Overlay Test Event program, encompassing 42 events. Key Achievements:- Provided timely and efficient solutions for both venues based and theatre wide issues on behalf of Overlay- Managing relationships with key stakeholders such as the IOC, Olympic Delivery Authority, GOE and utility providers, venue teams and other Functional Areas Representative in the Main Operations Centre Incident Management Team- Direct responsibility for the £23m budget (including an £8m turnkey contract), from conceptual planning through to operations- Member of LOCOG’s Central Test Event Planning Team Committee.

In this role I led a cohesive venue team of 75 people during all facets of planning and operations for the Olympic speed skating venue. I was also 2IC to Venue General Manager, who had dual role as competition manager, Deputy Chief Warden. I also acted as Operations Manager for ISU World Single Distances Speed Skating Championships 2009, a test event.Key Achievements:- Managed operational integration of all functional areas, including existing venue owner/operator (existing venue staff agreements) and local authorities (including licensing requirements), law enforcement and security, overlay, technology and broadcast (OBS) and speed skating’s governing body, the ISU- Management of operational issue resolution during planning and operational phases.

Management of the day to day relationships with key external agencies, particularly the coordination, planning and provision of facilities for Emergency Services, the Emergency Coordination Centre and the Traffic and Transport Coordination Centre.Key Achievements:- Development of key operational documentation including the track invasion plan and emergency management plan.
