I started my professional career with Experian South Africa in July 2002. I initially worked in data capturing roles, however moved quickly through the various departments. My last role before leaving Experian in September 2017 was as a Business Analyst. My career at Experian spanned 15 years.While at Experian, I studied Environmental Management, obtaining a Bachelors Degree, as well as an Honours Degree (from the University of South Africa / UNISA). My research was on: "Assessing the use of alternative energy and energy efficiency in the manufacturing industry in South Africa".I moved over to Rayten Engineering Solutions in October 2017, working as an Air Quality Scientist. The company opened a new division (Rayten Environmental) and I moved over, while also being promoted to Operations Manager and Environmental Scientist. My work at Rayten involved, amongst others, Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reporting, Carbon Footprinting, Climate Change Impact Assessments and Compliance Reporting. My experience includes GHG reporting, Carbon Tax estimations, Climate Change Impact Assessments, Pollution Prevention Plans, dust management plans, fugitive emissions reduction plans, air quality data analysis and report writing, Atmospheric Emissions Licensing (AEL) applications, AEL compliance auditing, and National Atmospheric Emissions Inventory System (NAEIS) reporting. I am also an accredited carbon footprint analyst.I emigrated to Portugal in January 2021, and continued to work with Rayten, however as a Freelancer. In March 2023 I decided to take a well deserved sabbatical, and pursued my other passion, namely being a wildlife artist. I currently work as a Sales Manager for SHS Solutions, a solar solutions company, based in the Algarve, Portugal.
