Use and practice Functional Family Parole (FFP) in a community setting while supervising up to 25 youth at any given time. Working with juveniles and their families or support system to link them to proper resources to ensure their success. Assessing the juvenile before they return to the community and work with the corresponding coordinators (mental health, sex offender, school advocate, mentor program, chemical dependency) to make sure that the necessary resources are available to them. Monitor and document their progress eliminating any barriers that may stand in their way while helping the family to work together towards positive goals. Facilitate Aggression Replacement Training (ART) classes.

While being a counselor for incarcerated juveniles I would build programs to replace maladaptive behaviors with positive ones, supervise, manage, and run the floor maintaining safety and security for staff, facilitate and participate in educational and recreational activities with the youth, as well as facilitate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) classes. Perform assessments in order to accurately address the needs for each individual as saw fit by the Integrated Treatment Model (ITM) and appropriately andaccurately documented all progress.
