This involves understanding the SLAs and OLAs that were set in place and adhering to them. It is important to know the components of IT infrastructure i.e. applications, networks, bandwidth, IT security, servers stand-alone and virtualized, storage, cloud and how they must be supported by data center critical infrastructure.• Experience with all major components of IT infrastructure. Applications, networks, bandwidth, IT Security as well as stand-alone and virtual servers. Apply Data Center efficiency concepts regarding the Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE and Data Center Efficiency (DCIE).• Utilization of a DCIM tool called ITRACS.• Experience in applying concepts of data center efficiency for example placing blanking panels in racks, moving floor tiles to the correct hot isle or cold isle, capacity management as well as asset management.
