Night shift Operations Controller and the most senior manager on site whilst on shift.Management of all areas of the warehouse dispatch operation within the RDC.Responsible for all aspects of health and safety and safe working practices.Delivery of customer set KPI'sResponsibilities Assist the Distribution Centre Manager in ensuring smooth and efficient warehouse operation whilst achieving agreed budgetary and service levels, taking responsibility for the operation in the absence of the Distribution Centre Manager. Plan and monitor daily/weekly labour and equipment against predicted volumes, identifying any shortfalls/overages reacting accordingly. Produce volume plan, cost per unit etc Manage FLMs to ensure productivity and service levels are maintained and improved budget and time constraints. Produce training plans, set targets and undertake PIR process To be responsible for the Health and Safety issues within the areas of the jobholders control. Take a key role during fire/bomb threat evacuations, handling roll calls and dealing with emergency services in attendance.  To recruit, retain and motivate all relevant staff within a team based management culture. To communicate and liaise with the Distribution Centre Manager, Comet management and external service providers where necessary. To liaise with the site service function, administration and transport to ensure that all areas of planned maintenance, system failures and contingencies are planned measured and controlled to ensure the maximum availability of product. Deal with any escalated disciplinary/grievance matters that arise as per the terms and conditions.

Control and management of the Home Delivery operation supporting the General Manager.Accountable to all KPIs and P&L.Responsibilities• Direct report to the General Manager and customer Regional Service Manager in all required aspects of the operation.• Recruit, train, develop and retain a competent and collaborative workforce.• Plan equipment, resources, transport routes and priorities, ensuring all tasks are covered in a timely manner and plans are in place to cover vehicle servicing and MOT’s.• Administer, track and report weekly activity, profit and loss, and other data requirements accurately within required timelines.• To mentor and develop the supervisory team to achieve expected KPI’s and sustain compliance to all audits – legal compliance, processes and health and safety.• Disciplinary action from investigation through to disciplinary conclusion.• Ensure full legal compliance with operating license, tachograph and driver’s hours regulations.• Monitor team performance, providing regular feedback and coaching, conducting formal assessments (PCDR) and taking appropriate corrective action.
