I started my professional life as a programmer, evolved into an electrical engineer, became a leader of teams, added a dose of commercial and contract law into the mix, and most recently I have been attempting to improve the companies and people I work with.The reason for this progression is that I am curious by nature. This curiosity has seen me develop a variety of skills by wearing many different hats across many different industries. I now use these skills to search for the logic and reasons behind decisions and processes, even when presented with seemingly insurmountable amounts of data. Once the logic and reasons have been identified I am able to improve upon any imperfections, mitigate risks or reduce areas of waste. Throughout my career I have always tried to follow and instil in my team the following: --Continual personal and professional development is critical. Never stop learning, improving or seeking new challenges.--Do not just learn the rules, understand the reasons behind each rule. This will allow you to know how the rules are to be applied and how the system can be improved.--Do not be afraid to speak your mind.
