Panel of community change agents helps the UWEWH guide the strategic direction of its various health policy and advocacy initiatives in the Greater Newark area. Duties included: Coordinate and help lead community-health conversations in Essex, West Hudson and Bergen counties. Facilitate strategic expansion by linking with allied groups and individual stakeholders.

Volunteered to facilitate community health planning and coordinated delivery led by Newark's Department of Child and Family Well Being. Duties included: Highlight university community services and resources through leading health professionals, and promote targeted enhancements to improve service to Newark area residents.

Spearheaded various urban community-health initiatives for at-risk populations, UMDNJ's online Community Service Directory and related resources until it became part of Rutgers University. Coordinated community outreach initiatives with particular focus on promoting free University healthcare and educational community-service programs. Facilitated community benefits delivered to under-served areas by The University Hospital and various academic units. Served as a leader and/or member of the Newark Municipal Council Health Committee and other allied coalitions.

Award-winning writer and editor of City News weekly, New Jersey. Also Editor of The Minority Business Journal of N.J. and N.Y. Supervised and developed staff and freelance reporters.
