Reports to the HII CFO and manages a department of accounting and contracting professionals who are responsible for the contracting, procurement, government compliance, and budgeting functions at HII's corporate office. Advises senior leadership on government contract compliance, pricing, and performance risk across the corporation.

Provided legal advice and counseling to senior executives in the areas of government contracts law, federal procurement law, commercial contracts and compliance. Managed legal work on sole-source and competitive government contracts for the procurement, overhaul and repair of nuclear-powered submarines and other U.S. Navy warships. Advised on data rights and intellectual property issues, government audits, supplier issues, DFARS business systems compliance and government cost accounting compliance.

Served as Chief Counsel to AMSEC LLC (a subsidiary of HII) and counsel at HII's Newport News Shipbuilding division. Advised senior company leaders on a variety of legal topics, including cyber-security, government contracts, subcontracts, corporate law, employment law, intellectual property, real estate, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory compliance. Also managed internal investigations and company litigation.

Member of the firm's Litigation Practice Group. Work focused in the areas of government contracts, bid protests, commercial contracts, corporate investigations, construction and admiralty and maritime law.
