During my Geography Degree I used a range of GIS programs, most notably ArcGIS pro for both remote sensing specific and general data visualisation purposes, I also gained some experience in remote specific software such as ERDAS Imagine. This culminated in with my dissertation project, which used Landsat 7,8 and 9 imagery to explore and identify the ways that glacier size changed in Glacier National Park, Montana. The quality of the maps I produced as a part of this project were specifically noted as a major high point of this project. I took effort to ensure that that each of these maps - where suitable - conformed to a specific design style, locating vital data such as the key, data sources, North arrows and scale bars were in the same place across each map. Other details such as the font, colour, and scale were also kept consistent across each map produced, I found this attention to detail vital for image analysis later in my project. I have a wide range of experience in database organisation and management across a range of Microsoft programs and smaller company specific software. the types of data that I have been using in these projects have also varied substantially from road fault reports from members of the pubic while working for Oxfordshire county council to more sensitive data, such as student names and addresses. I also have experience in archiving physical and digital documents in a secure and effective manner. I have some experience in using SQL which I gained from Oxfordshire County Council and university classes and am keen to further develop my skills in this area. the experiences I have gained working both long term for Oxford County Council, and summer jobs have strongly developed a range critical skills, such as the ability to learn quickly in a range of new environments, communicate any setbacks to managers and be able to explain how I overcame them, and to effectively organise my responsibilities to complete tasks on time and to a high degree of quality.
