Helping to make a difference in people's lives adds a tremendous amount of fulfillment to what I do as an Engineer in the Medical Device Industry. I am currently in the Diabetes space of Med Device, where I lead a team of highly skilled engineers demonstrating technical, clinical, and commercial feasibility for technologies before they enter the product development process. It is extremely rewarding knowing that our devices help patients make crucial decisions to manage their disease. Prior to this, I spent over 13 years in Orthopedics, where I designed and/or Lead the design of products that helped people stay active, manage their pain, and generally improve their day-to-day lives. This included: hard and soft bracing, as well as ultrasound, laser, electrotherapy, and bone stimulator devices. I have been able to make a high impact as an individual contributor, a cross-functional (matrix) project manager, and a functional manager.
