Escorted and secured with joint government contracting elements the ballots used for the national elections. Encountering over 75 IEDs as a platoon within a year unit routinely conducted escort, counter IED and convoy operations consistently with EOD, Asymmetrical Warfare Group and Air Force (Security Forces) working dogs. Consistently used assets in conjunction with securing police compounds and escorting high ranking military officials and both Iraqi and American government officials. Responsible for CASEVAC/MEDEVAC with pre-planned HLZs, assigning medics with all necessary elements. Controlled CAS/CCA in addition to a mounted QRF and ARF elements. Developed and implemented innovated TCP and observation post (sniper emplacement) operations which greatly reduced the amount of IED operations conducted by insurgents in sector. Show less
