I took command of the 205th Network Signal Company in March of 2020 and still hold this position now. The primary mission of my company is to support the 45th Field Artillery Brigade Headquarters with their network and radio communications. I am primarily responsible for a 30-personnel company and accountable for about $12 million dollars of equipment designed to prepare, maintain, troubleshoot, and update communications operations for the brigade network, as well as maintain the only DIRECT package system that is used to support emergency services across the state of Oklahoma. I ensure that our unit has a comprehensive training and maintenance plan. As a signal company monitors and makes recommendations on all technical communications to Battalion and Brigade Commander to ensure realistic view of communications posture. Finally, I ensure that I stay current in my Security + Certification and Secret level clearance.

Dell, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, June 2018 – Present (Monday – Friday schedule, 40 hours a week)Enterprise Storage Engineer• I started working as a Dell Enterprise Storage Engineer in June of 2018 after being promoted from server support. I worked cases on SAS, iSCSI, and fiber storage devices including Dell MD, NX, and EqualLogic Enterprise storage units. For hardware issues, I would review logs, replace failed hardware components, and review compatibility issues. For software and configuration issues, I assisted via remote sessions or walking a customer over the phone with installation, OS configuration, log capturing/review, best practices, and maintaining host to storage connectivity in low to high infrastructure environments. I documented customer issues and troubleshooting steps though our ticketing system and monitor case status with end users to resolution. Internally, I document and report faults in automated processes used to send out replacement parts or researching solutions in the internal database. I currently still hold this position at Dell EMC and renewed my Comp-TIA Security+ Certification through September 2023.

I started working this position after being promoted from Client Prosupport working on desktops and laptops in February of 2016 after almost 3 years. My position as a Server Prosupport Engineer involved working on various customer technical issues requiring sound judgment to resolve problems and provide recommendations for server environments. A typical case would involve customers being routed to us by our triage team and myself taking ownership of their case in our ticketing system. For troubleshoot hardware issues, I would send out the necessary replacement parts based off their warranty entitlement and validate compatibility of parts in the servers. For software issues, I assisted customers with Windows Server Installations, Dell specific remote access configuration, diagnostic log review, driver/firmware updates, and server specific best practices. After the initial call, I would follow up with the customer at pre-scheduled times to drive the case to resolution. If the issue required further analysis, I would reach out to L3 support for collaboration and maintained case ownership. Once customer verified that issue was resolved, the case would be closed.
