About Carl-Johan Claudi Risom

I am a Senior Project Scientist at Nordic Bioscience, where I am responsible for ensuring that our automated ROCHE COBAS platforms deliver high-quality data for clinical trials. My primary goal is to maintain world-class quality standards for our biomarkers while meeting deadlines. As a Senior Project Scientist, I am involved in the entire process of validating a biomarker on our automated platforms, from the initial stages to the preparation of data for data transfers of our high-sensitive, high-throughput biomarkers. My daily tasks include communicating with stakeholders, setting up studies for analysis, monitoring data performance, and ensuring that we in this process meet GXP requirements. What motivates me is the opportunity to use Nordic Bioscience biomarkers to help clients in the pharmaceutical industry understand and develop new pharmaceuticals for fibrotic diseases.From my master thesis my hands on experience with yeast library construction, display techniques, FACS and synthetic protein designing, renders me a strong theoretical foundation in protein engineering and display methods. I have a curious mindset that drives my excitement towards research fields of any kind and I embrace novel approaches in the lab and analysing the outcome of the changes. I thrive with a steep learning and this is mirrored in a hardworking attitude. Moreover, I have strong teamplayer skills and like taking responsibility and seeing my work contribute to the common goal.
