Facilitate the implementation of the CPC policy and guiding principles for stakeholder engagement and sustainable development.Lead the development and implementation of stakeholder engagement strategies for Northeast BC, and assist internal business teams to address stakeholder concerns throughout the full life-cycle of our projects. Work with internal business teams to identify potential social, economic, cultural and environmental impacts, and incorporate into project planning. Facilitate early, program-level engagement and information exchange with broad-based stakeholders Maintain regular face-to-face communication and liaison with stakeholders. Coordinate community communication initiatives (surveys, open houses, community updates/presentations, newsletters, brochures, industry awareness, community meetings, etc.) Facilitate economic opportunities for local and Aboriginal communities including education, training, contracting, and employment opportunities Facilitate strategic community investment and company participation in local events and activities Foster and sustain strong relationships with all stakeholders including governments, regulators, Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal communities, landowners, special interest groups and others as necessary and/or assigned

Primary Accountability: The primary accountability of a Field HSE&SD Advisor is to provide technical support to line management in assisting them to meet their responsibilities with regard to the implementation of policies and standards. Leadership Criteria for Success: • Provide technical advice and guidance to line management on safety and environment compliance, the HSE management system and the interpretation of HSE legislation.• Provide strong leadership in the development of the HSE&SD culture with special regard for the identification of hazard and the removal or reduction of risk.• Work closely with management to identify and plan all work to ensure that it is carried out in accordance with HSE&SD policies, standards and applicable Safety, Health & Environmental Operating Practices.• Provide technical support in the investigation of incidents and the identification of actions to prevent recurrence• Act as a focal point for liaison with HSE related government and regulatory representatives • Actively support safety and environmental meetings to provide technical support and advice on issues being discussed.• Support management in the planning and co-ordination of emergency response (ICS), including ensuring that regular drills and exercises are conducted and provide 24-hour / 7 day support in the event of an emergency.• Assist line management in their responsibilities to perform site inspections by providing training and expert advice.• Assist line management in spill initial response including containment as well as coordinating clean up and soil testing as deemed necessary.• Complete and submit regulatory reporting as required for the Advisor's assigned areas. (7 day spill regulatory reporting, annual waste reporting, Conduct CPC Orientations for operations & third party contractors Audit work permits to ensure they are filled out properly, especially hot work, lock out tag out and confined space.
