In my role, I aim to align strategies and initiatives across Customer Services to enhance the delivery and support of cutting-edge cancer treatment technologies to our clients and their patients. The Business Operations team collaborates with various functions and stakeholders to identify user needs, which refine product design, facilitating easier delivery of our products and services. We continuously seek improvements and never settle for the status quo, applying structured approaches from the Healthineers Performance System (HPS) suite of improvement methods. As the HPS Manager for Customer Services, I am committed to utilizing these methods to deliver continuous improvement across our business.

Partnering with cross-functional teams to lead process improvement initiatives through the disciplined use of measurements, accountability, analysis and discussion of process alternatives in order to arrive at best practices. Advise the Operations and Installation groups by providing strategic direction to initiative prioritization, integration and resource application while ensuring that policies and procedures align with corporate vision. Drive and Implement the policies, programs, and guidelines; ensuring employee productivity and growth, maintain functional, technical, and external market awareness necessary for improving the organization.

As the Manager of the National Project Management Team, I am responsible for managing a group of highly skilled and experienced Project Managers who manage projects and programs for corporate and strategic accounts at Varian.In addition to Project Management, the National PM team is also focused on process improvement and refinement. The National PM team works with cross-functional teams to increase process efficiency and eliminate redundancy and barriers to success. The National PM team are also the leaders among PMs at Varian Medical Systems and also provide mentoring to other PMs at Varian.Currently serving as the Chair for the Global Project Management Council. The PM Council is responsible for creating a certification program for all Varian PMs focused on Process development and knowledge, Product familiarization and education, as well as Professional development and training. Significant coordination and diplomacy is required to seek consensus across all geographic and cultural regions.As the leader for the National Project Management team, I am also tasked with developing new initiatives and processes to ensure the PM team is efficient, allowing Varian to remain competitive in the Oncology market.

As the Eastern Region Manager for Software Project Management, I was responsible for all Software Project Management activities in Eastern North America with a team of 10 Project Manager reporting directly to me. I provided extensive mentoring to the PM team and assisted with escalations when required. I also represented the Project Management team on Varian's Global Project Management Council, which was formed to develop and refine PM processes, develop a professional skills certification program, and define product-specific training for PMs.

As a Software Project Manager at Varian Medical Systems, I was primarily responsible for the managing Oncology software solutions and Electronic Medical Record implementation projects.During my tenure as a Project Manager, I managed some of the largest and complex strategic projects in the history of Varian Medical Systems and in doing so, was able to develop new processes and refine existing processes which had a significant impact on revenue recognition, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Responsible for Oncology service for Linear Accelerators, CT Simulators, Electronic Medical Records, and Treatment Planning systems.

Responsible for creating training program and coordination of training activities for Canadian Cadet Organizations for various units in Newfoundland and Nova Scotia. Worked part-time while attending post-secondary school and while employed full-time.Promoted to rank of Captain.Received Canadian Forces Decoration (CD) - The Canadian Forces' Decoration is awarded to officers and Non-Commissioned Members of the Canadian Forces who have completed twelve years of service.Worked full-time at CFB Greenwood at the Cadet Summer Training Centre (CTSC) in the following roles:First Aid Instructor (1995) - instructed all levels of St John Ambulance First Aid. Completed Advanced First Aid (Level 1), Oxygen Administration Course, and First Responder Course.Course Director (1996) - Appointed Course Director for Survival Instructor Course. Responsible for safety, training, and logistics for 30 Air Cadets from all 10 provinces.
