Reporting to the Managing Director, my role oversees after sales and vehicle sales-New and used pre owned Motorhomes-New caravans from Bailey,Coachman,Adria and Swift. Pre owned caravans from all manufacturers. Also implemented a Too good to trade section.

Currently supporting a independent dealer in Sheffield and within month 2 volumes have tripled. Working with UK dealers on all areas of the business and just back from a Used car project in Central Europe working with dealers in Czech Republic and Slovakia. Returned back to Vertu to oversee Nottingham North Volkswagen passenger vehicles and fleet operation. A site needing a refurbishment and investment also. As a team we doubled used car sales and hit every new car target plus the only Vertu site to be in Upper Quartile on CSI in sales,giving the site the full 2% margin. Asked to oversee Mansfield from a CMA prospective also in the September. Fantastic year on year result with previous year cost base.

Headcount of 37 and responsible for Passenger cars, Fleet and Commercial vehicles. Turnover close to 25 million. 556k turnaround year on year with previous year cost base. Achieved all Brand targets and just missed the top 50 Dealerships on the balance scorecard- 51st! Delighted with No 8 in the Country on Sales. Doubled used CV Sales with a brilliant Sales Manager-Chris Gravill.

Joined BSM to open the new Bristol Mazda/Jeep/Saab franchise. Recruited a full sales team and restructured the after sales department. From achieving 25 used a month- month 1 delivered 40 used. After 3months moved back North to oversee the Used car operations in Doncaster and Widnes. Achieving a 450k turn around year on year. Units over 2700 combined. We also implemented a CSI measure and both sites were over 90%. Doncaster was re franchised with Honda and I opened a new site from the Coop in Mansfield. Overseeing Hyundai franchise to the site to compliment Suzuki. Within 3 months site in profit and top in our area on sales. Asked to close Widnes as issues with lease and database given to the Nissan site to support the growth of the freehold site. Again seconded to Bradford to oversee Nissan/Renault and Dacia franchises. Restructured all departments and oversaw a huge and successful fleet operation in excess of 4500 units pa. Travelling became an real Issue- the M62 is not the best and up to 2.5hrs travelling in the morning is not sustainable.

7 Franchises over 2 sites. 200k annual payroll saving through restructuring. Within 3 months Nissan Csi above National average. Used volume in excess of 1800 and New in excess of 2100. The restructure left the sites in great shape to compete profitably in the CMA market area. Scunthorpe at break even from a 180k loss prior year and Grimsby from a 100k loss per month to a 15k loss on leaving the business.

8 sites represented in the Peugeot network. P@L over 12 months a postive 1.2million turnaround. Drove retail growth at the beginning of the recession, ie all funding lines were ceased and none of our sites had manufacturer demonstrators. All vehicles had to be paid in full/finance balances in the bank cleared too, before we could register the vehicle. Restructured all sites with a lean efficient team to deliver our objectives.

Started with RV at Armley road Nissan, satelite site. Within 1 month selling more Retail new than our main hub site. Within 3 months opened Leeds Citroen from Fletchers and delivered 98 used cars in the July. 1 month later moved to Sheffield Renault, within 12 months there, hit 144 used from a display of 50 and GM of year. Net profit 475k. Promoted to Divisional GM(Youngest in RV history) for our 12 Renault/Nissan sites from Birmingham to Aberdeen.

Played with Rotherham school boys and South Yorkshire. Trials with England u14's missed out with injury. Signed with Rotherham after trials with Leeds and Coventry. Home sick still!
