Primarily working remotely writing/maintaining/analyzing IBM i code. The primary components are RPG, RPGLE, RPG FREE, imbedded SQL and of course all the ancillary stuff like CL and Rational. My primary client is Steve Koudelka and the company we serve is PriceSmart, Inc.. PriceSmart is an offshoot of PriceClub/Costco and has warehouse club stores somewhat similar to Costco in Mexico, Central America, South America and the Caribbean.

Develop and maintain RPGLE applications on IBM I platforms for mortgage industry applications.

Founded aforementioned real estate company and wrote Excel VBA programs as needed to support operations. These include applications that: 1) Capture and process foreclosure information from trustee websites 2) Interface with data from the Multiple Listing Services (MLS) to comp properties 3) Organize investor financial data to produce reports. The VBA applications had extensive form and reporting programming. Other duties included setting up and maintaining QuickBooks and personal/corporate income tax reporting with TurboTax.

Wrote and Maintained RPGLE applications on an iSeries to interface with proprietary TMO (“The Mortgage Originator”) loan origination software. This includes: 1) Using TMO exports and imports to move data between TMO and custom iSeries programs. 2) Writing code using the proprietary TMO “Calc” language 3) Uploading document overlays to the iSeries and gridding the information to them using TMO “Docs”. 4) Maintaining the behind the scenes engine that merges overlays with TMO document gridding. 5) Writing tools to assist TMO programmers and to assist with TMO change control. 6) Troubleshooting and providing customer support to users as needed.

Wrote RPG programs to create health insurance claims and format them for electronic billing via telecommunications. Also created programs to process subsequent electronic remittance. Modified existing paper and electronic billing programs so that they were year 2000 compliant. Also provided customer support and did troubleshooting and maintenance on existing electronic billing programs.

Principal programmer/analyst in charge of designing and developing the front-end interactive software for waste hauler applications on AS/400 and PC network platforms. Specific applications include customer service, accounts receivable, vehicle management, and materials management. Provided technical advice and programming assistance to entry level programmers. Assisted customer support personnel with software operation and problem solving.

Work was concentrated in the area of developing and maintaining applications for hospitals on AS/400 platforms. The applications included patient management, order entry, and pharmacy control. I also received training in Cognos Powerhouse, a fourth generation computer language.

Various projects for the following companies, all using AS/400 or System/36 computers: JM Financial: Modified mutual fund reporting software so that it was year 2000 compliant. Provided various maintenance on an as-needed basis for mutual fund and tax reporting software.Agricultural Supply Co: Re-designed an existing order entry system to print invoices and update inventory on demand. Modified the order entry system to print credit memos, delivery memos, and price quotes. Added a back order capability. Added various interactive searches to programs that previously had none. El Camino Memorial Park: Provided software maintenance as needed on cemetery accounts receivable software. Created a General Ledger report generator.Holy Cross Cemetery: Provided ongoing maintenance to cemetery accounts receivable software. Worked with the accounting firm of Ernst & Young as needed. Kern County Medical Billing: Wrote programs to convert data from one medical billing software system to another. I also wrote various reports breaking down revenue by attending doctor and by categories of medical procedures.National Medical Computer Services (which became Reynolds & Reynolds and later Infocure): Analyzed, designed, and coded applications for: 1) HMO billing 2) Small and credit balance write offs 3) Collection accounts 4) Downloading report data to Lotus 1-2-3. Business Revenue Systems: Analyzed and designed programs so that Business Revenue System's collection letter software would interface with a medical software vendor.

Designed and programmed applications on the AS/400 and System 36 for companies that specialized in distribution (this was company focus before specializing in waste hauler applications). The software applications include customer entry, product entry, order entry, and invoicing. These applications were designed to interface with existing general ledger software.
