Laboratory-trained Neurophysiologist with over twenty-five years of experience working in the Neurosciences in both academic and private sectors. I switched from academia to the private sector because I have a strong interest in developing new medicines taking new therapeutic options to the hands of patients in need. My work has stretched from sensory systems, Learning and memory, and hypothalamic control of body homeostasis, particularly with respect to the disease state of type 2 Diabetes. My work has spanned from basic research in animal models to supporting clinical trials.
