Professional Improvement Coordinator (2023 – present)Working in the Training and Development Department the Professional Improvement Coordinator works cooperatively Q.I Director to plan and coordinate and implement quality improvements throughout Growth Horizons programs. This position assumes education and risk management responsibilities to ensure the heath and safety of the people supported by RHA Services programs. Provides training in-house as needed, including monthly pre-service and medication administration training for new hires, as well as other monthly trainings for existing staff, work with QI Team in assessment of agency training needs and development of annual training program for all staff. including but not limited to CPR/First Aid, ODP, Emergency / Fall Prevention.Has ODP certification as a certified investigator and conduct certified investigations as assigned by the QI Director. Participate in agency Certified Investigations, Peer Review, CPS.Conduct semi-annual chart audits to ensure compliance with regulations/standards. Support residential staff to ensure completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual assessment in compliance with various regulations.Work with QI Director, COO, and CEO in development and implementation of all quality improvement initiatives and activities throughout the organization to promote program compliance with regulations/ standards including waiver compliance.Participate in other committees, outside meetings, and external training's, seminars, and educational offerings as needed or required.

Supports Developmentally Disabled individuals by providing program coverage during scheduled shift. Educates and counsels individuals living in a home and helps them more effectively deal with matters such as personal problems, personal values, vocational responsibilities, interpersonal relationships and hygiene. Advocates for individuals by completing required documentation (i.e., daily logs, medication logs, reports, fire drill reports, weekly menu forms, behavioral data reports, goal data sheets, etc.) Certificate of Achievement from Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, Office of Developmental Programs certified Community Participation Support for Direct Support Professional.

Assist in worship and participate in the worship with the Rector. Help prepare for worship services.

Chaplain Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not restricted to:A Chaplain may be a minister or other individual with experience in spiritual support; the role is not intended to replace the client's own clergy, but to bring spiritual guidance and support. Gives pastoral counsel to people in crisis pertaining to legal matters by providing spiritual and moral guidance.Provides pastoral care and spiritual guidance, counseling, and education. The Chaplains will meet with people in legal situations and try to offer spiritual comfort and carries out pastoral care. Will utilize information pertinent to clients spiritual and religious interests and to assure appropriate access to religious/spiritual resources in follow up situations.Offers religious and spiritual guidance and counsel to people who are receiving legal aide. Utilizes problem-solving skills through assessment, review and resolution of problem while involving others in legal process.Participates as a team member of an interdisciplinary team and works well with others. Establishes a positive working relationship with all members of the legal team as well as the volunteers and other workers at each clinic site.Demonstrates knowledge of current developments in legal system and human services and personal care. Works with staff and families to identify and evaluate religious concerns of clients. Counsels in accordance with client’s beliefs.Will gain on-the-job experience in paralegal counseling and delivers pastoral care services in keeping with the provision of care standards and activities in the clinics. Provides in-service education of host clinic clergy and staff on various topics as requested by clients.Works to establish and maintain co-operative relationships with clergy and churches who are providing space for the clinic.
