Managed various types of NIBR alliances and have gained crucial business acumen for deals that have spanned multiple disease indications within, but not limited to, the Oncology, Immuno-Oncology, Musculoskeletal, Cardiovascular and Metabolism Disease Areas. While always striving to maintain quality and excellence, I have been able to support many complex and highly matrixed teams in meeting goals and timelines in a manner that are sensitive to the needs and benefits of the business. The deals managed spanned co-development agreements, option deals, out-licenses and various early stage collaborations.

Developing state of the art alveolar epithelial cell in vitro infrastructure to support pre-clinical drug discovery projects for various respiratory diseases. Biology representative on 3 early-stage clinical programs headed into FIH and FPFV. Lead a team of 6 talented in vitro scientists.

Supported multiple early respiratory drug discovery projects. Led a team of 3 in vitro scientists.

Responsible for a new group in the Translational Biology unit of the Respiratory Diseases area, supporting preclinical and Phase 0 clinical trial research. Evaluated and implemented improved methods for bio-banking research materials to facilitate the integration of molecular profiling data from preclinical models and clinical studies by novel bioinformatic data analysis approaches. Developed multiple primary cell culture models from normal and diseased lung donor tissues to support new target validation.

Developed multiple in vivo and in vitro models to study complex respiratory diseases. Examined multiple combination models for the study of IPF and severe allergic asthma, with human and murine infectious agents, including the murine gamma herpes virus and influenza viruses. The translation of preclinical respiratory models for asthma, COPD, and IPF to human disease was also an integral part of our group's research focus.

Examined the translation of precision cut lung slice models to screen drug targets for bacterial and viral exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Began to develop preclinical in vivo models to study the mechanisms underlying Streptococcus pneumoniae-induced exacerbations of COPD.
