I hold an M.A. degree in International Disaster Psychology from the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Professional Psychology along with a B.A. in Political Science and Psychology from Virginia Wesleyan University. I have over seven years of experience collaborating with and supporting marginalized populations across diverse settings. These include women positive for HIV/AIDS, Latinx communities, children, and those diagnosed with severe mental illnesses. Specifically, my work has centered around addressing inequities through research and education, behavioral health, and trauma informed care. I am motivated to expand the inclusion of cross-cultural differences in research, education, healthcare, and the workplace. I actively work to educate others on the impacts of trauma and de-stigmatize mental illnesses and suffering. Most importantly, I strive to make systemic changes promoting diversity, equity, and well-being.
