I've been teaching at the Community College of Philadelphia in the Department of Biology since 2008. I teach the BIOL 109/110 (Anatomy and Physiology) course series. The ability to connect with my students by allowing them to discover their full potential in the college class setting has been a great privilege that I experience each semester at CCP. My students are my #1 priority and each semester my goals include to support them academically, as well as socially and emotionally. Classroom dynamics has changed drastically in the past years and I continue to learn and adapt my teaching style to fit this ever-changing climate. A new endeavor that I began in 2022, is co-hosting the podcast, "PerryMenopause: OMG"! This podcast allows me to fuse my physiology expertise, my love of disseminating, good scientific information and a little humor to what happens to women in their mid-40's.
