I was hired as the Admissions Head of Department at St Nicholas at a time of big changes in the school structure. With a new Head Teacher, the school faced a new chapter of its history with important challenges ahead.As a highly motivated professional who fully believed in the school´s mission and the opportunity to have a very positive impact on the new generation´s education, bring new students and help implement new ideas, together with the school management to take the school to a new era, was a wonderful challenge!Having a strong Marketing and Communications background as well as product development, with proficiency in important tools such as Microsoft softwares and Adobe packages (for data management, presentations, design and publications such as newsletters and magazines), this new challenge in my career was a breath of fresh air, bringing me into the world of international education.During the time I was a St Nicholas I was also a partner in an animal sanctuary and saw a huge opportunity to also teach the children to respect animals and the environment. That also caught the interest of new families, especially the children. During those years, with the blessing of the school management, I was able to also work on many different projects together with teachers and the results we saw in children were amazing!The direct relationship with feeder schools other international schools, expat companies, together with the marketing department I initiated and helped implement, the new tools strategies were very successful and the school thrived.With the growth of the school, a marketing department that amongst other things produced a weekly newspaper, the yearbook (together with the students), organized events amongst other activities, I felt it was time to pursue my dreams and open my own business I left the school to open my own business. Animal Sanctuary.Animals rescued from different risk environments or situations such as animal smugglers and circuses were sent to Casa da Tartaruga to be nurtured back to health. Our Sanctuary had a working staff of about 30 people including veterinaries,biologists, care takers, office and cleaning staff.As a non governmental organization another one of our goals was to help raise environmental awareness and preservation of wild and domestic animals.

Responsible for all merchandising materials of the Swatch Stores in the country. Developed a stock control system to optimize materials management and use and worked closely with the Swatch Group team to help increase sales in all stores

Candide is a toys manufacturer and importer. I was hired to start the product development department including selecting machines and hiring people. Once the department was working we started researching, developing and designing a wide range of Disney and Mattel licensed toys, personal care, products, sporting goods, school materials, and other goods With time I also developed a Candide Toys line.
