Riparian Commodities (Pty) Ltd is a South-African based company that provides investment advice to Barak Fund Management Limited, a niche fund management company incorporated in Mauritius that provides institutions, family offices and high net-worth individuals with the opportunity to invest in debt trade finance assets across more than 30 African countries. Barak Fund Management Limited manages the Barak Structured Trade Finance Fund which places a strong emphasis on short-term trade financing for trade finance-type transactions, including the import and export of commodities. My role entailed the analysis of potential investment transactions based on counterparty and market considerations, whilst ensuring the investment was suitable given the investment mandate parameters and investor needs and advise accordingly into which deals investments should be made via the Barak Structured Trade Finance Fund. I managed the day to day operations of the fund and produced all investor and client reports. The Fund has an excellent track record and AUM grew by over 130% whilst I worked there.
