I am a Doctor of Archaeology. My thesis subject was 'Venus in Pompeii: Iconography and Context'.My previous roles have included a Visiting Lecturer position at the University of Roehampton, where I was responsible for delivering lectures, seminars and essay workshops; creating my own resources; setting essay and exam topics; and keeping the online learning environment (Moodle) up-to-date with relevant materials.I hold a PGCE in Primary Education from the University of Cambridge and have a wealth of experience in Higher Education and administrative roles.I have experience of working in museums, working with the education department at IWM Duxford as part of my PGCE. I have also designed and delivered artefact handling sessions and historic activity days with children in schools.My research is of the highest quality, and I received a Distinction for my MA in The Classical Mediterranean from the University of Leicester. My MA dissertation investigated the economic independence of women in the Roman Empire.

    The Brilliant Club aims to increase the number of pupils from under-represented backgrounds progressing to highly selective universities. As a tutor for the Scholars Programme, I design and deliver a programme of university-style tutorials to secondary school and college pupils based on my PhD research. I also mark their homework assignments every week, giving feedback and coaching the pupils to improve for their final essay-based assignment. My programme (‘Pompeian Households: Space, Religion, and Decoration’) aims to develop pupils’ analytical and investigative skills through source analyses and the study and practical application of different theories.
