I’m a freelance communications consultant, passionate about storytelling, the environment, climate action and sustainable development policies.I’m also a former journalist (1991–2019) and former anchor and coordinator of television programs about the environment.Throughout my career, I’ve been awarded different prizes, namely, the 2020 Author's Award, Best Information Program, Television Category, with the Great Report “Plástico Nosso de Cada Dia” shown on SIC in 2019, awarded by the Portuguese Society of Authors (2020); the "Environmental Journalist of the Decade" award, by the All Ladies League at the Women Economic Forum (2019); and the “Fernando Pereira” National Environmental Prize from the National Confederation of Non-Governmental Environmental Organizations (2014).Speaker at conferences and moderator of debates, I enjoy talking, listening, and discussing ideas.I completed the Climate Change and Sustainable Development Policies Doctoral Program at Universidade de Lisboa, and I want to do my PhD thesis on "Understanding Climate Democracy through Local Climate Governance Indicators: Insights from Portugal" at ICS - Universidade de Lisboa.I cofounded and was president of a civic local association, "Evoluir Oeiras" focused on the environment, public participation, and transparency, and since 2021 I've also been a local councillor in Oeiras. Furthermore, I’m especially interested in environmental advocacy, public participation, and sustainable development policies for a better present and future.Areas of expertise: communication, content creation, sustainability policies, environment, climate change, governance.
