Led the Government of Puerto Rico’s tourism agency tasked with managing and marketing Puerto Rico as an international travel and tourism destination.• Partnered closely with cruise line C-Suite executives to dramatically increase travel to Puerto Rico. Results increased the numbers of passengers from 1.5M to 1.9M adding an increase in tourism dollars of $260M during 2019. • Directed the tax incentive program to build and grow tourism. Streamlined and improved the policies and processes to speed up approvals. Had final authorization for projects approvals. Results included substantial growth of investment projects, adding 115 new projects valued at $6B in 3 years.• Built vital relationships and partnerships with C-Suite and senior leadership from cruise lines, airlines, hotels, hospitality developers and investors that dramatically impacted economic and business development plus drove the increase of tourism dollars spent. • Achieved record-breaking numbers of tourists and tourism dollars spent on the island overcoming numerous disasters that struck the island including hurricanes, earthquakes, governmental bankruptcy, Zika epidemic, and Covid-19 pandemic.
