A counselor at heart, Carla is passionate about helping others navigate their career path well. She holds degrees in psychology and business administration and a specialization certification in Career Coaching and Navigation. She is motivated to apply her multi-faceted background and portfolio career to facilitate the client process of going from insight to action. What started as a freelance resume writing position has become an inspiring career pivot from operations management and office administration to career counseling. Since 2018, Carla has written resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles for Career Valet as well as her own clients, and coached dozens of clients, colleagues, and students. As the spouse of a U.S. foreign service officer and due to the nature of diplomatic work, Carla has overcome challenges and setbacks to her envisioned career with every move (19 and counting). She works well with clients in transition, those entering the workforce for the first time, and those re-entering after a sabbatical. With 20+ years circling the globe, she consistently finds meaningful work and opportunities to share her strengths. As a lifelong learner and adventurer, Carla is a self-taught graphic designer and florist who thrives on wading through the unknown to appease her curious mind.
