Carla McClellan is a Tallahassee native, small business owner, community advocate, and lifetime animal lover. She holds collegiate and graduate level degrees from TCC, FSU, and USF. Prior to making animal welfare a career, Carla worked in social work and public health. In 2016, Carla founded Tallahassee Lassie Pet Care, a pet concierge business. In their 8th year, she has a dedicated team of employees with minimal turnover. She created their prestigious Active Retiree Program and enjoys public speaking and outreach within this program. While Carla spends a lot of time growing her business, the highlight of her life is volunteerism and philanthropy. She is active in the community, serving as a commissioner on the Tallahassee/Leon Commission and Status of Women and Girls, and as a member of Leon County Humane Society Board of Directors. Carla is mom to two rescue pets, enjoys spending time with friends and family, and traveling between St. George Island and the Great Smoky Mountains. Carla does well in the following capacities: coaching and presenting, creative directing, marketing, business administration, public speaking, social and behavioral market research, content creation and coordination, and delegation. What she truly thrives at is helping others come up with the big picture, and breaking down the steps to achieve success. This is especially true for other business owners who are neurodivergent, have experienced trauma, or are working with disabilities. Carla knows they can overcome anything at all, and have a life full of purpose and contentment.
