♦ Design and lead data driven, diverse Professional Development events, including half-day, day-long, and multi-day trainings, regional events for professionals which have seen increased reach and the emergence of new partnerships ♦ Manage development of professional symposia to provide basic and advanced understandings of gender with the application of principles in specific youth-related fields♦ Create, identify, and share resources with clients and partners that address gender-related issues with intersectional lens♦ Program management and development relevant to various professional disciplines, both for Gender Spectrum-related events, internal staff development, and in collaboration with partners♦ Represent the organization and build strong relationships in various professional contexts, including conference presentations, partner meetings, advisory roles and events

OFC's Education team works with families, teachers, administrators, and other child/family-serving professionals to create more inclusive and respectful environments. We train professionals to address family diversity, gender stereotypes, and the prevention of biased-based behavior. Additionally, we provide workshops on diversity, inclusion, and cultural humility. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:♦ Developing programs for LGBTQ families and their allies from diverse ethnic, linguistic, socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds;♦ Preparing training materials and facilitating trainings, for families, teachers, administrators, and child-serving professionals to create more welcoming schools and agencies to serve LGBTQ families; as well as coordinating post-training technical assistance ♦ Working to increase visibility and improve public perception of and policy for LGBTQ families;♦ Cross-functional team leadership, and engagement of local, state, and national partner organizations to advocate for change on the issues relevant to families, including inclusive schools♦ Managing, overseeing, and assessing progress of projects and project workers such as interns and volunteers to ensure both the success of programmatic outcomes and the support of team members

♦ Work collaboratively with internal teams to support external communications for OFC’s dynamic and growing social, advocacy and educational programming♦ Maintain, update, and trouble-shoot web-based resources and blog♦ Develop and disseminate digital and print communication materials to members, partners, the general public, and media outlets for the expansion of programs, and community education♦ Maintain knowledge of communication/outreach trends and integrate appropriately ♦ Conduct targeted outreach to diverse ethnic, linguistic family structure, socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds♦ Coordinate logistics for speaking/media trainings, events, and opportunities for LGBTQ parents, prospective parents and allies
