Wellness Works is excited to announce our Fresh Start Reentry Program. We will be providing housing and other services for recently incarcerated individuals rejoining the community. We are in the process of acquiring a 4-plex in Wasilla and expect to begin welcoming new tenants by 10/1/18. In addition, we are awaiting word regarding whether or not we will be funded for a Teen Pregnancy Prevention grant which will enable us to provide services in Anchorage and the Mat-Su Borough. We are excited to announce our partnerships with Covenant House and Gen-Z Girls Group if funded for this program. We also provide broad spectrum services to the Anchorage and Mat-Su communities, including but not limited to housing referrals and assistance, rent, utility and medication payment assistance, job assistance, and other types of assistance. We work with people who are in foreclosure to help them find alternative solutions to preserve their asset and avoid losing their home to foreclosure, and we work with individuals who have a problematic past to overcome barriers to affordable housing.If you are interested in volunteering your time and talents to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we are interested in talking with you. We welcome fresh ideas and people from various backgrounds with different skill sets to help us serve our community and grow our organization!
