Mtss Specialist For Head Start & Gsrp
As a member of the Instructional Leadership Team, I oversee student services and supports related to MTSS in 40 Head Start/GSRP classrooms. I manage the student assessment/screening systems (Teaching Strategies Gold, PELI, MyIGDI, ASQ), while supporting staff with implementation. I input student’s behavior reports into SWIS and provide reports to assist staff it utilizing the data for student intervention planning. I gather and compile program-wide data data for various teams, for discussion, analysis, and planning, aligned to program and KRESA goals. I facilitate program-wide Data Meetings three times a year for staff, and guide them in setting goals and utilizing data for classroom and tiered supports for students. As the Head Start Disabilities Coordinator, I support staff and families whose children have IEPs, guide staff in providing interventions to students, and coordinate the process for children who need a referral to the Preprimary Evaluation Team (PET). I coordinate the Family Service Team Meetings (FST) for Head Start/GSRP. The FST has a focus on the whole child, building off a child’s strengths, and involves all members of the team including parents, to problem solve around challenging behavior, social emotional learning, and academic concerns. Similarly, I developed and now coordinate the county-wide Behavior Support Team (BST) process for GSRP, working with private providers and those in school districts, while partnering with KCReady4s staff. I oversee the curriculum development process and integrate with TS Gold objectives. As the Assistant SCECH Coordinator for our program, I collaborate in planning professional development and inputting courses, events, and staff participation into MDE MOECS and MiRegistry systems. As a member of the Kalamazoo County PreK PD Planning Committee, I collaboratively plan professional development for teachers and directors with staff from KRESA and KCReady4s.
Early Childhood Administrator For Gsrp
Administration of the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) grant in Kalamazoo County, which consisted of 24 programs and 78 classrooms, in school districts and private community-based programs.
