Serves as a patient advocate who helps to facilitate the most efficient and appropriate care for surgical patients. Circulates and scrubs a variety of surgical services to include general, laparoscopic, bariatric, urology, vascular, gynecology, orthopedics, neurology, and plastics. Responsible for independently assessing patient needs, making collaborative decisions relative to operative care, maintaining patient safety, monitoring and evaluating care provided. Effectively inputs patient information utilizing EPIC electronic health records system to assist with continuity of care and communication among health care providers. Two-time recipient of the Overlook Education Foundation scholarship.

Served as an officer in the US Army Nursing Corps four years active duty as a Medical Surgical/Perioperative Nurse.
