As Engineering Support Specialist for the Innovative Media Solutions Company, (now currently a division of Zodiac Aerospace,) I perform a wide variety of technical functions and tasks supporting the Hardware Engineering Group's goals in our development of RAVE (Reliable Affordable Very Easy.) IMS's innovative seat-centric embedded In-Flight Entertainment System. These tasks can range from electro-mechanical assembly, test, and evaluation of the various sub systems and components of the RAVE system, to microscopic rework, repair, and modifications necessary for the program's continued development and timely delivery to the Airline Industry. In addition to that, I'm currently the lead Engineering Support Specialist, responsible for managing the Hardware Engineering Lab's support personnel in their day-to-day assignments, ensuring timely completion of the Hardware Engineering Department's deliverables. Finally, I am also the departmental Test Equipment coordinator, ensuring proper calibration as well as inventory tracking of the various tools and test equipment utilized by the Engineering staff. - Phase-Locked Dielectric Resonator Oscillator (PLDRO) Product Line, Laguna Niguel CA Facility.• Initially in a Temp position as a Test Technician for former employer, then later accepting a permanent position as a Production Lead Test Technician for the PLDROs used in Harris-Fairinon Communication Systems. -Additional duties ranged from initial alignment of PLDROs in the Discrete Test Dept prior to accelerated High-temperature Oven aging, to Final alignment / acceptance test, to interfacing with upper management to ensure timely delivery schedules.

- Garden Grove CA Start-up Manufacturer of various precision frequency sources such as Phase-Locked Dielectric Resonator Oscillators (PLDRO), Voltage Controlled Oscillators (VCO), and Frequency Synthesizers. • Performed prototype package design and PWB layout of PLDROs, utilizing OrCad Schematic Capture tools to produce electrical schematics, PWB layouts, as well as finished assembly bill of materials (BOM). Also utilized AutoCad V12 to design DRO housings for precision-milled fabrication with Computer-Aided Manufacture (CAM).• Performed Initial DRO alignments prior to aging, then later integrated into housings mated with phase-locked control PWBs for alignment and final acceptance testing.• Conducted telecommunication as necessary for sourcing and procurement of equipment, parts, and basic materials needed for day to day operations.• Developed Spectrum’s initial parts numbering system for inventory control of both raw stock and finished product.

- Laguna Niguel CA Engineering Dept for a Military and Aerospace electronic Components manufacturer of products that ranged from Military Spare Parts as well as precision frequency sources such as PLDROs.• Duties ranged from engineering support of Staff Engineers in layout, design, and test of Hybrid microelectronic amplifiers, mixers, oscillators, and VCOs, to Mil-Spec spare part final acceptance testing before US Government Defense Contractor Acceptance Test Inspectors (DCAS).• Designed, fabricated, and tested RF PWBs utilizing SMT components, utilizing photo-Etch techniques for high frequency prototype PWBs, and microscopic soldering.• Performed Thermal-sonic wire bonding under a microscope for Delphi’s hybrid chip and wire bonding technology. Attaching sputtered metal substrate chips to microwave-tuned elements and bare DICE devices prior to being hermetically sealed in RF hybrid packages.

- EFRATOM Division Irvine CA Engineering support of Engineering Dept. design efforts to upgrade EFRATOM’s next generation Rubidium oscillator products. Assisted Staff Engineer in design and fabrication of phase locked loop Frequency Synthesizer PWBs for controlling their Rubidium oscillators.

- Engineering Dept Santa Ana CA Defense Contractor of Military Electronic Systems, such as the Joint Service Target Acquisition Radar System (JSTARS) which is currently still in use today by the US Military.• Part of the design team that developed RF transponders and ground beacon units utilized in the JSTARS platform, which utilized encoded spread-spectrum transmission techniques for the prevention of data transmission jamming and interception providing secure communications.- Initial engineering prototype platform was first successfully deployed during European NATO exercises then later during the Desert shield and Desert Storm Operations.- Provide engineering support of design, layout, and fabrication of 250Mhz IF amplifier portion of the RF transponder.- Performed Tests on both lab bench top and in the Temperature Chamber confirming basic IF amp circuit operation over temperature extremes conforming to Mil-Spec 883B.

- Electronic Products Group Irvine CA Initially as a contract employee, then later accepting permanent position. Defense Contractor of Military Electronic Systems (Multi-band Electronic Warfare (EW) Training Systems.)• Performed initial alignment, test, and final acceptance testing of various components utilized in the USAF COMFY-SWORD III Jamming System.-Devices tested includes RF Synthesizers, Phase locked Oscillators (PLO), IF Converters, Radio Frequency Units (RFU) and Low-Band Exciter sub-systems.-Performed final acceptance testing before both in-house QA and US Government Defense Contract Administration (DCAS) inspectors.

Fullerton CARF Test Dept Military Electronics Artillery Locating Radars, Shipboard Electronic Warfare (EW) Jamming Systems.• Performed alignment and acceptance testing of components and sub-systems of TPQ-36, TPQ-37 FireFinder Radars, SLQ-17 shipboard jamming systems, and JTIDS amplifiers and sub-systems.

During this time, as a Fire Control Technician 2nd Class, I operated and maintained the AN/SPG-55B CWAT Radars of the Terrier Missile System on Board the USS Farragut DDG-37. Duties included manning the Radar console during general quarters, running daily system operability tests (DSOT), running of alignment procedures, routine maintenance, and the troubleshooting/repairing system failures to a component level. Additional Duties included providing internal shipboard security as member of shipboard security alert team and back-up alert force (SAT/BAF). Also member of the US Navy's Personnel Reliability Program (PRP), required for the handling of special weapons.
