A Thunderbirds air demonstration is a mix of formation flying and solo routines using F-16 Fighting Falcons. The team performs about 30 maneuvers during a show with the entire show running about an hour and 15 minutes. The Thunderbirds squadron consists of eight pilots (including six demonstration pilots), a flight surgeon, executive officer, maintenance officer, and public affairs officer, plus three civilians and more than 130 enlisted personnel in 25 career fields.
