Carl is the co-founder of Kariba Labs. Kariba's first product is Open Source Observer, an analytics platform that helps foundations and ecosystem funds allocate funding to open source projects. He is also an active Gitcoin Steward and Cup of Excellence board member. Carl is most passionate about using data to improve governance and public goods funding.Before Kariba, Carl worked as a Startup Operator and Technical Product Manager at Protocol Labs. He was a core contributor to the launch of the Hypercerts Foundation and the growth of hypercerts as a new data standard for impact tracking. He was the co-founder of Enveritas, a Y Combinator-backed startup that provides sustainability verification for agricultural supply chains. Enveritas is now recognized as the leading source of sustainability data for the coffee sector and maintains a field presence in more than 20 countries.
