PANALPINA, Head of Logistics USA, Canada, 2016-2019Directed all aspects of Third-Party Logistics (3PL) services. Managed $80M budget with ownership of profit and loss for 22 logistics operations throughout the U.S. and Canada. Coordinated diverse aspects of operations, including real estate, procurement, ground transportation, quality, health, and safety, contracts, pricing, solution design and implementation, and overall logistics strategy. Led turnaround of underperforming logistics product, resulting in North American direct contribution improvement of 139% and EBIT improvement of 119%. Emphasized growth and cost reduction initiatives that delivered EBIT improvement of $12.7M.  Drove procurement initiatives that reduced expenses by over $1M for contract labor, material handling equipment, and warehouse consumables.  Managed real estate negotiations that delivered sustainability improvements on lease renewals, including sustainability initiatives as a tenant improvement allowance.

Led 3PL for sales, pricing, and implementation of integrated supply chain solutions. Served in various progressive roles to support sales, operations, solution design, and implementation of new business. Managed over 2M square feet of freight forwarding logistics space and coordinated team of multi-level executives from sales and operations.  Oversaw global contract logistics for $100M client. Designed, customized, and implemented integrated scanning warehouse export solution to drive ocean and air export consolidation and delivered retention of critical client with $100M in annual business. Sold and implemented supply chain solutions in North America and Europe to support a vendor-managed inventory program of 25K pallets per month. Delivered client balance sheet reduction of $20M.

Supervised 3PL start-up and managed all aspects of new 460K square foot facility. Directed team with four direct and nine indirect reports, as well as 200 associates. Oversaw site servicing for the retail lighting industry. Completed facility start-up under budget and six weeks ahead of schedule. Developed a custom warehouse management system solution to support shipping of non-perishable goods. Secured new business to support start-up operations and built long-term client relationship for future business opportunities.

Oversaw $22M transportation budget and coordinated warehouse management using Intrepa WMS. Established and maintain maintenance systems for five distribution centers across the United States with 750K square feet of space. Led company negotiations for domestic carrier freight management for small parcel, less than truck load, and truck load. Reduced domestic freight spend by 5% annually. Established carrier selection and routing protocol for 20 company sites to support manufacturing and distribution.
