Required subject matter expert-level knowledge of radio communications, radio propagation, interference, and frequency bands.Directly accountable for $25 million in complex ECM equipment and 10 vehicle types.Fulfilled a non-conventional Navy role, essentially serving as a Department Head and leading ~100 Soldiers in the rapid fielding, sustainment, and employment of a new and relatively unknown program.Participated in ~36 high-risk combat patrols.Conducted training for ~1500 U.S. military counter IED systems. Noted for accomplishing a “significant reduction” in radio-controlled IEDs. Never had a positive detonation during his tenure, and never lost a soldier.
