Managed design delivery for this complexed project involving 3 buildings in one:• Demolition of existing cinema, façade removal and structural strengthening of old Myer department store and rebuilding both to form 4 storeys of office and 2 storeys of retail space. Also refurbished and remodelled existing multi-deck car park. Lead DM on ECI for $60m extension, refurbishment and services overhaul of existing Library at Curtin University in Bentley:• Successfully collaborated with large client stakeholder group and design team to deliver project brief within budget parameters and design aspirations.• In parallel with ECI, managed delivery of IFC documentation for “Construct Only” early works package of overall Library project.Responsible for mentoring multiple graduates through the design modules of their Probuild Graduate Program.

Joined ADCO as the first Design Manager in the WA office. Brought in to manage the design delivery for an increasing workbook of projects and rapidly expanding state office. Primarily responsible for management of consultant design teams and design delivery, but also involved in Business Development, EOI's, ECI's and tendering of new projects.Key achievements:• Led the design delivery for a $18m regional shopping centre in Geraldton and $9m subdivision of a large distribution centre in Canning Vale.• Created exclusive opportunities with a number of new clients to assess the development potential of their current assets. Developed feasibility studies and cost plans with estimators and external consultants.• Significant involvement in business development with clients and consultants, resulting in a number of EOI and tender opportunities.• Introduced several “information sharing” initiatives across the state wide business, such as design alerts for use by the site teams, safety in design processes and value engineering checklists.• Assisted site teams on traditionally procured contracts in identifying potential design issues early. Worked with consultants to resolve without impacting project programme or cost.• Worked successfully with in house estimating team, external consultants and subcontractors in targeting construction “smarts” and value engineering initiatives on several D+C tender submissions.

Joined this Tier 1 contractor to manage the design delivery on large, prestigious projects. Majority of time spent on site on the $430m multi award winning Midland Hospital for St John of God and the WA Government.Key achievements:• Successful management of Multiplex and consultant design teams in delivering design through all phases including brief development, tender, procurement, authority approvals, compliance with health standards and private licensing, risk and value management, shop drawing reviews, inspections, defecting and handover documentation.• Instrumental in implementing innovative construction methods such as modular external facades, prefabricated bathroom pods, integrated plumbing systems, modular bedheads and a variable skin automated ETFE roof.• Site based from start to finish so involved in complete delivery of project. • Managed internal Multiplex team of 5, with responsibilities for career progression, personal development and mentoring.• Established myself as a key team member contributing to hospital being delivered on time, on budget and exceeding internal cost targets.• Midland Hospital awards:2016 - Best Health/Aged Care Building (Master Builders Excellence in Construction)2016 - Best Project in $100 Million Plus Commercial Construction Category (AIB Professional Excellence in Building)2016 - Finalist for Best Overall Project (AIB Professional Excellence in Building)• Lead Design Manager during ECI (Early Contractor Involvement) phase of $350m redevelopment of Mandurah Forum shopping centre for Vicinity Centres. Appointed as an experienced job running CAD Technologist to lead, document and deliver a variety of projects from inception to completion.Projects:• $5 - 15m new build supermarkets, extensions and fit outs.• $14m award winning mill conversion to 65 dwellings.• $9.5m hi-tech manufacturing facility and offices.• $9m soft drinks factory and offices.• $8m arts and media centre.• $6m beef livestock facility.• $4m remodel of existing care home.• $4m adult day care centre.• $2m engineering, training and skills centre.Key achievements:• “Outstanding Achievement in Collaborative and Partnership Working” awarded to the$14m historic mill conversion into 65 dwellings. This joint venture project involved three separate clients coming together to restore and retain a 150 year old textile mill culminating in a number of former mill workers occupying the dwellings.

Engaged as a Senior Design Manager to manage the design delivery of a $500m shopping centre in Bradford, UK. Short term tenure due to GFC and project being put on hold. Key achievements:• Led co-ordination of construction elements and services with design team.• Coordinated delivery of design to ensure compliance with owners brief, cost plan and programme.• Successfully engaged with building owners, local authorities and other external bodies to achieve project objectives.

Initially appointed as a job running CAD Technologist. Promoted to an Associate to manage multiple teams to deliver a number of projects. Ultimate responsibility for fee expenditure and resource allocation.Projects:• Multiple office parks ranging from $5 - $15m.• $10m mixed use office/industrial development and refurbishment of vandal damaged warehouse.• $5m haulage distribution centre.Key achievements:• Wrote CAD manual to standardise CAD processes and rolled out across nationwide offices.

Progressively promoted to Associate level, from a job running CAD Technologist and Project Leader with increasing levels of responsibility. These ranged from producing design and construction documentation, liaising with clients, consultants, construction teams and approving authorities and managing internal project teams and workloads.Projects:• $76m residential development of 252 dwellings.• $44m hi-end residential development.• Several new build supermarkets, extensions and fit outs ranging from $4.5 - $25m.• $5m mixed use development of 52 dwellings and a sports pavilion.• $5m, 57,000sqft office refurbishment.• 280,000 sqft indoor soccer centre with leisure centre, retail outlets and restaurant.Key achievements:• Received “Innovation in Retailing” award for $4.5m retail fit out in London.• Won national “Architectural Employee of the Year” award, introduced to remember former employees lost in tragic circumstances.
