Responsible to oversee the execution of all field activities,- Oversee coordination of work with contractors, In charge of the safety, quality and schedule, - Verifie parts and materials are on site for job completion, - Review the daily workforce, - Ensure all permits and isolations are completed as required, - Provide daily work execution direction, - Check scope and estimates/quotes for accuracy and reasonableness, - Develop execution schedule and communicate it to PC and planner, - Kick off projects in the field, - Review scope changes and additions and submits to Project Manager, then Production Coordinator for approval, - Ensure that all support equipment and parts are available to complete project, - Ensure an accurate Passover with cross shift, - Review scope with contractors prior to commencement of each job, - Make sure all changes to original scope have been approved and captured, - Spend a significant portion of shift monitoring/overseeing work in the field visiting each job an discussing progress with the appropriate foreman, - Conduct review of activities in their area confirming quality/quantity of work, - Actively promote safety with workers in the field through random checks of FLRA’s, LPSA conversations and compliance to prescribed PPE standards - Perform the role of SCL’s representative when dealing with contractors, - Interface with various groups, departments and contractors and interfaces with all members of the Project Team, Contractors, Operations and QA/QC, - Make independent decisions within the assigned Project/Team guidelines, otherwise makes recommendations to the Project Team on items having significant impact to Safety, Cost, and Schedule, - Submit all documentation required for ground scans, temporary facilities, - Participate in the development of project scopes, - Impart field experience and knowledge to the project team and contractors throughout the project, - Distribute the engineering packages to contractors, - Organize the resources required to complete a project safely and efficiently, - Receive and update redline/as-built drawings from contractor and submits to document control, - Remove obstacles preventing the contractor from execution of their tasks, - Daily updates on project status, - Approve all contractor time, material received and equipment rentals on CDMS using reports provided by the contractors, - Ensure all waste disposal permits are applied for and disposal locations adhered to, Attends and stewards to all active jobs assigned for bi-weekly project meetings.
