Often following an iterative, rapid development methodology, we prided ourselves in frequent communication with the stakeholders. As a technical intern, I often attended meetings alongside the project manager in which we gathered requirements from middle to senior management. The requirements were then brought to team meetings at which time cost estimates were gathered. By participating in software development projects, I gained experience applying Agile Methodologies and observed how following an iterative approach can produce a final product that satisfies the client's needs.I developed two SharePoint systems that were put into use. The first was a “requests” system for intra-organization work requests, improving efficiency and manageability for my Director. The second was a reformed documentation repository. The repository was designed around employee input that I gathered in short interviews to understand what employees in each role found important.
