Carl is currently working as a Proposal Manager for Wood’s UK Projects Business in Reading. He has led various large scale proposals of varying reimbursement types at different project stages (Pre-FEED to EPC) and has successfully negotiated and secured significant contracts for Wood’s Project Business. Carl holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Warwick, an MBA from Warwick Business School, and is a Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng) with the Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE).He has civil and structural engineering project delivery expertise on world-scale capital projects, particularly in downstream oil and gas, and petrochemical industries, in both home office and site based locations. Carl has international experience working on and leading large civil engineering projects with major NOC/IOC and has experience across the whole capital project lifecycle; from feasibility/business case development, through all phases of engineering design and construction (FEED, EPCm and PMC).Carl also has capital projects and infrastructure management consulting experience obtained whilst working for Deloitte’s I&CP management consulting practice. He held a variety of management consulting roles on large scale infrastructure business transformation programmes. Responsibilities included; project and programme management, Project Management Office (PMO) design and support, business operating model design and implementation, capability test framework design, Programme recovery, and in other business transformation capacities.
