She graduated with a BA in Geography and a BA in Communication + Media Studies in Fall 2018. She also completed a certificate in Emergency Management and Disaster Recovery through Mount Royal University in April 2019. In June 2021, she completed a GIS Technology certificate through NAIT. Using her interdisciplinary combination of education, Carlee brings a broad spatial understanding of environmental, economic, social, and political processes as they relate to humans and the Earth. As well, she has refined communication skills including critical analysis, reading, writing, social media management, and public speaking.Carlee uses many programs including but not limited to Microsoft Office suite, Google services, ESRI ArcGIS suite (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcMap and MyESRI), AutoCAD, CityWorks, select Adobe products, Canva, Hootsuite and a range of Social Media platforms to complete her work.Carlee has 4.5 years of Municipal Government experience including 3 months of dedicated ECC experience in a Public Information Officer assistant role. Carlee has shifted to training towards a Planning Section Chief and has completed ICS 100, 200 + 300 and a Director of Emergency Management course.Carlee founded her first business - CM Maps and Socials - in September 2022.
